ALRS on its travels - locally

Due to the efforts of Publicity Officer, Nicola Fox and a fellow member of the Society, the ALRS will have a presence at two local, large-scale events in the coming weeks.

This year’s Cromford Steam Rally over August 4/5 will be our first public show, and work has been ongoing to create an eye-catching sales stand.

Although there primarily to spread the word of the ALRS, and its activities, there will also some items for sale. These include brand new greeting cards from artist Jonathan Clay, as well as postcards produced by David Charlesworth.

The Rally is being held Highacres Farm on Dewey Lane, Brackenfield, just off the A615 Matlock to Alfreton road.

On August 8, the Society will also be at the Ashover Show on Rectory Fields in the village. This is a big event for the Society as we’ll be able to create even stronger links with the local community, and be there to answer questions and to quell any concern, hopefully!

The sales stand will be appearing again, with possibly a few more additions than previously mentioned. Please come along and say hello, or if you’ve got an hour free, stay a while.

UPDATE.

Due to the recent wet weather Cromford has been rescheduled to 22nd & 23rd of September

UPDATE

Despite the recent outbreak, the Ashover show is still going ahead. See www.ashovershow.co.uk for more details.
