Talyllyn Railway Dolgoch appeal

In 1951 railway preservation moved into a new era when enthusiasts took over the operation of the Talyllyn railway.  From these small seeds all railway preservation in the U.K. has grown.

There is currently an appeal to fund a replacement boiler for locomotive No2 (Dolgoch) which operated the Talyllyn services single handedly during the crucial first year.

The ALRS recommends support for the Dolgoch appeal, and not just because several of the founder members of the ALRS have had associations with the Talyllyn !
